What is a roadside flat tire service?

A roadside flat tire service is when a technician comes to your location and installs your spare tire so you can drive to a repair shop. McCullers Road Rescue removes the flat, mounts your road-legal spare, and torques the lug nuts to specification. Service starts at $100 across southeastern Pennsylvania, available 24 hours a day.

Flat tire assistance and spare tire installation, roadside.

We swap your flat for a properly inflated, road-legal spare and torque it to spec so you can get to a tire shop safely. You must have a good spare tire with you — we do not carry tires for sale and we do not retrieve or deliver tires.

Extended Service Areas Starting at $115 · Final pricing depends on distance, location, vehicle type, and requested service.

No membership, no annual fee, and no hidden charges — you hear the number before we dispatch.

A good spare tire is required

Tire change service installs the spare tire you already have. Please make sure your vehicle has a good, road-legal spare, a working jack, and a lug wrench before we arrive. We do not sell tires, and we do not pick up or deliver tires from a shop. If a safe spare is not available when we get there, we will not be able to complete the job.

You're not stranded — a real person answers, confirms the price, and tells you an honest arrival window before anyone is dispatched.

Why drivers choose MR RESCUE for this

A highway shoulder is the worst place to fight a scissor jack. We position our marked service vehicle to shield the work area where possible, mount your road-legal spare, and torque every lug nut to your manufacturer's specification so the wheel is genuinely safe to drive on.

  • Work area shielded by a marked service vehicle

What this service does not include

We do not service commercial trucks, trailers, or oversized/overweight vehicles requiring heavy-duty equipment. We do not sell, deliver, or install tires that the customer does not already have on scene. If a safe, road-legal spare is not available, we cannot complete the tire change and the service call will be declined.

Passenger cars, SUVs, crossovers, minivans, pickup trucks, and most light-duty vehicles only.

Safe Highway Tire Change Protocol

Changing a wheel on the shoulder of I-95, Route 202, or the Blue Route is the highest-risk job we do. This is the protocol our technicians follow, and what we need you to have with you before we roll.

Typical time on scene
20–30 minutes on scene
What you need with you
A good, road-legal spare tire for your vehicle · Your vehicle's jack and lug wrench
Equipment we bring
Low-profile floor jack and jack stands · Impact wrench and calibrated torque wrench · Reflective cones, vest, and scene lighting
  1. Step 1 of 6

Confirm you have a usable spare

Before dispatch we confirm you have a road-legal spare on board. We do not sell, deliver, or retrieve tires, so without a safe spare we cannot complete the job and we will tell you on the call.

  2. Step 2 of 6

Get to the safest possible spot

If the vehicle is drivable, we ask you to reach an exit, ramp shoulder, or parking area away from live lanes. On limited-access highways call *11 for state police first, then call us.

  3. Step 3 of 6

    Set up the work zone

Cones and lighting go out behind the vehicle, the technician works from the traffic-shielded side whenever possible, and occupants stay behind the barrier, not in the vehicle over the jack.

  4. Step 4 of 6

Lift at the factory jack point

We break the lug nuts loose on the ground, then lift only at the manufacturer's pinch weld or subframe jack point to protect rockers, running boards, and air suspension.

  5. Step 5 of 6

Mount the spare and torque to spec

The spare is hand-threaded, seated, then torqued in a star pattern to the manufacturer's specification with a calibrated wrench — never rattled on with an impact gun alone.

  6. Step 6 of 6

Set spare limits and hand off

We check spare pressure, remind you of the temporary spare's 50 mph / 50 mile limit, and stow the flat and tools so you can drive straight to a tire shop.

Why call MR RESCUE for tire changes

Choosing a roadside company at 2 a.m. on the shoulder of a highway is a trust decision, not a shopping decision. These are the concrete facts about who we are, how we operate, and what you can verify before you ever give us a credit card or a location.

Veteran-owned and operated

MR RESCUE is owned and run by Samuel McCullers, a veteran who answers the phone himself. You are dealing with the owner of the business, not a national call center that brokers your job out to whoever is closest.

Licensed and insured

McCullers Road Rescue LLC is a registered Pennsylvania limited liability company carrying commercial insurance for roadside work. We show up in a marked service vehicle with professional equipment for every call we accept.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We answer calls around the clock, including overnight, weekends, and holidays. Dead batteries and flat tires do not keep business hours, so neither do we. A real person picks up and confirms whether we can help before dispatch.

Fast, honest ETAs

Response time depends on your exact location and current job load, so we give you a real arrival estimate on the phone instead of a marketing promise. If we cannot reach you quickly, we say so and you can call someone else.

Locally owned, locally based

We are based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania and work Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties plus parts of Berks and Lancaster. We know these roads, the highways, and the parking garages our customers get stuck in.

Transparent, quoted-up-front pricing

Roadside Assistance Starting at $100. Extended Service Areas Starting at $115. Final pricing depends on distance, location, vehicle type, and requested service. You hear the number before we dispatch, and no membership or annual fee is ever required.

No-surprise guarantee

We quote the price before we dispatch and we do not charge for work we cannot complete. If the job turns out to be outside what we can safely do on scene, we tell you directly and point you toward the right provider instead of billing you for a wasted trip.

Payment collected at time of service

Nothing is prepaid and there is no subscription. Payment is collected once the work is finished. If you need to confirm which payment methods we currently accept for your job, ask on the phone and we will tell you before we roll.

Real customer reviews

We ask every customer for an honest review after the job, and we publish them on our reviews page rather than cherry-picking quotes. Read what other drivers in Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties experienced before you call.
