Five Roadside Services, Done Right

We deliberately stay narrow. These are the jobs we're equipped for, and the only jobs we accept.

What We Don't Do

We are a light-duty passenger vehicle specialist. We do not provide towing, winching, or heavy-duty recovery. We do not cut, duplicate, or program keys — we are not a locksmith. We do not service semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, RVs, motorhomes, or motorcycles. If your vehicle is outside what we can safely service, we'll tell you on the call before dispatching.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Call or text us

Reach (267) 249-5891 any hour. Tell us your location, your vehicle, and what happened.

  2. 2

    We confirm the job

We tell you the price before we roll and confirm we can safely service your vehicle. No surprises on scene.

  3. 3

    We come to you

Response time depends on your location and current job load — call for a real-time estimate.

Professional Roadside Assistance in Southeastern Pennsylvania

McCullers Road Rescue LLC, operating as MR RESCUE, is a veteran-owned mobile roadside assistance company based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. We come to stranded drivers wherever they are — a highway shoulder on Route 30, a parking garage in Center City Philadelphia, an apartment lot in Upper Darby, or a driveway in West Chester — and we fix the specific problem that is keeping the vehicle from moving. Every job is quoted on the phone before a truck rolls.

We are deliberately a specialist rather than a generalist. We do five things: jump starts, spare tire installation, lockout entry, emergency fuel delivery, and battery replacement assistance. Because our scope is narrow, our trucks carry the right equipment for every call we accept, and we can tell you within about a minute on the phone whether your situation is something we can genuinely solve or whether you need a tow operator, a locksmith, or a repair shop instead.

No membership is required and no annual fee is charged. Unlike motor club programs that bill you every year whether you break down or not, MR RESCUE charges per service call. You pay for the one time you actually needed help, at a price you heard and agreed to before anyone was dispatched to your location.

Our Roadside Services Explained

Jump starts: 12V and 24V

A jump start is the fastest fix for a vehicle that clicks, cranks slowly, or does nothing at all when you turn the key. We arrive with professional-grade portable jump packs instead of running long cables between two vehicles, which means no cords strung across a live traffic lane and far less risk of a voltage spike reaching your vehicle's electronics. 12V jump starts start at $100 in our standard service areas.

We also carry 24V equipment for light-duty vehicles with 24-volt starting systems, which most consumer roadside operators do not stock. 24V jump starts start at $150. Whether your system is 12V or 24V, the on-site work is usually finished within 10 to 20 minutes of our arrival, and we stay long enough to confirm your vehicle is actually running before we leave. Read more about our jump start service.

Dead battery service and battery replacement

Not every dead battery is fixed by a jump. If your vehicle starts on a jump and then dies again after sitting for a few hours, the battery is no longer holding a charge and a replacement is the real answer. Repeated jump starts within a short period are the clearest signal, along with headlights that dim at idle, slow window motors, and a dashboard warning that appears only on startup.

We install a replacement 12V starting battery on site, starting at $100 when you already have the correct group-size battery on hand. The job includes removing the old battery, cleaning corroded terminals, installing and securing the new unit, and verifying the connection before we leave. If you need us to source a battery for you, call first so we can confirm current pricing and availability. See battery replacement details.

Flat tire service and spare tire installation

A flat tire on a Pennsylvania highway shoulder is one of the most dangerous places a driver can be, and it is not a job to attempt with a scissor jack while traffic passes at seventy miles an hour. We come to you, position our vehicle to shield the work area where possible, remove the flat, mount your road-legal spare, and torque the lug nuts to your manufacturer's specification so the wheel is safe to drive on.

We install the spare that came with your vehicle or a road-legal spare you already own — we do not sell, mount, patch, or plug tires. A compact donut spare is a bridge, not a repair: drive it at reduced speed directly to a tire shop. Tire service starts at $100 and is typically finished within 20 to 30 minutes of arrival. Learn about roadside tire changes.

Emergency fuel delivery

Running out of gasoline is far more common than most drivers admit, especially on long stretches of the Schuylkill Expressway, Route 202, and the Turnpike where the next exit is further than the fuel gauge suggested. We bring gasoline directly to your vehicle in an approved, sealed container — up to 10 gallons per visit, which is more than enough to reach the nearest station comfortably.

The service call starts at $100 and the fuel itself is billed separately at cost, so you are never guessing at the total. Some vehicles need a moment to re-prime the fuel system after running completely dry; we stay until the engine catches. See fuel delivery details.

Vehicle lockouts (entry only)

If your keys are visible on the driver's seat and the doors are locked, we can almost always get you back in without damage. We use non-marring professional entry tools designed for passenger vehicles, and our standard on every lockout is entry with no harm to the door frame, glass, paint, or weather seal. Lockout service starts at $100.

We require valid photo identification and proof that you own the vehicle or are authorized to access it, and we verify that on scene before opening any car. To be completely clear: MR RESCUE is not a locksmith. We do not cut keys, duplicate keys, or program transponders and key fobs. If you have no key at all, you need a locksmith or your dealer. Read about lockout entry.

How Fast Can You Get Here? Honest ETAs, 24 Hours a Day

Response time depends on your exact location, the time of day, and how many jobs are already in progress. Rather than advertising a number we cannot guarantee, we give you a real arrival estimate on the phone before anything is dispatched. If we cannot reach you quickly enough for your situation, we tell you that directly so you can call someone else instead of waiting on a truck that is too far away to help.

We answer the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including overnight, weekends, and every holiday. Dead batteries and flat tires do not keep business hours. If you are in immediate physical danger — stopped in a live traffic lane, involved in a collision, or facing a medical emergency — call 911 first, then call us once you are safe.

Roadside Safety: What To Do While You Wait

The most dangerous part of a breakdown is usually not the mechanical failure — it is standing outside a stopped vehicle near moving traffic. Pennsylvania's Steer Clear law requires approaching drivers to move over or slow down for stopped emergency and service vehicles, but you should never assume every driver will comply. Follow these steps from the moment you realize something is wrong.

  • Get as far off the travel lane as you safely can. A wide shoulder, an exit ramp, a parking lot, or a side street is always better than stopping in a lane, even if it means driving a short distance on a flat tire.
  • Turn on your hazard lights immediately, and at night turn on your interior dome light so approaching drivers can see there is a person inside the vehicle.
  • Stay belted inside the vehicle with the doors locked whenever you are on a highway or a road with fast-moving traffic. Your vehicle is the safest structure available to you until help arrives.
  • If you must exit, leave through the passenger-side door away from traffic and move behind a guardrail or well up an embankment — never stand in front of, or directly behind, your own vehicle.
  • Note a mile marker, exit number, cross street, or garage level before you call. Precise location information is the single biggest factor in how fast we reach you.

A Veteran-Owned Local Business, Not a Call Center

MR RESCUE was founded by Samuel McCullers, a veteran who built this company around the same standard he was held to in service: show up, tell the truth, and finish the job. When you call, you are talking to the owner or someone he trained personally — not a national dispatch center that auctions your breakdown to whichever contractor bids lowest and shows up whenever they feel like it.

That structure is why we can quote you honestly, turn down work we are not equipped for, and give you a real arrival window instead of a script. It is also why we publish our exclusions as prominently as our services. Knowing what we will not do saves you a wasted hour on the shoulder waiting for the wrong provider. Read more about the owner.

Why Drivers Trust MR RESCUE

Choosing a roadside company at 2 a.m. on the shoulder of a highway is a trust decision, not a shopping decision. These are the concrete facts about who we are, how we operate, and what you can verify before you ever give us a credit card or a location.

Veteran-owned and operated

MR RESCUE is owned and run by Samuel McCullers, a veteran who answers the phone himself. You are dealing with the owner of the business, not a national call center that brokers your job out to whoever is closest.

Licensed and insured

McCullers Road Rescue LLC is a registered Pennsylvania limited liability company carrying commercial insurance for roadside work. We show up in a marked service vehicle with professional equipment for every call we accept.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We answer calls around the clock, including overnight, weekends, and holidays. Dead batteries and flat tires do not keep business hours, so neither do we. A real person picks up and confirms whether we can help before dispatch.

Fast, honest ETAs

Response time depends on your exact location and current job load, so we give you a real arrival estimate on the phone instead of a marketing promise. If we cannot reach you quickly, we say so and you can call someone else.

Locally owned, locally based

We are based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania and work Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties plus parts of Berks and Lancaster. We know these roads, the highways, and the parking garages our customers get stuck in.

Transparent, quoted-up-front pricing

Roadside Assistance Starting at $100. Extended Service Areas Starting at $115. Final pricing depends on distance, location, vehicle type, and requested service. You hear the number before we dispatch, and no membership or annual fee is ever required.
